By Agnes L. Weaskus
Karole White, a caseworker for the Nez Perce Tribe Social Services Department, has served tribal people for twenty years. Currently, White coordinates the following program services: General Assistance, Low Income Energy Assistance, CSBG, and the Nez Perce Tribe Financial Assistance project. Prior to moving back home, White worked for three years in a Social Services Agency in Seattle, WA as a supervisor.
White, as Employee Of The Year, received a Certificate of Appreciation and a check for $500. “I believe all Tribal employees are working for the same goal, the preservation of Tribal resources and improved growth for our future Nez Perce children. No job is too big or too small we are working towards a better future. We all need to pat each other on the back because everyone is working hard,” commented White.
White is a proud mother of three grown children and she is a loving grandmother of three grandchildren.
