The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Law & Justice is recruiting for: CHIEF JUDGE HR-15-122 This position requires a wide range of legal, administrative, management and budgetary skills. The Chief Judge presides over the Tribal Court, and hears, or assigns to other Tribal Court Associate and Pro-Tem judges, all cases heard in the Tribal Court. The Chief Judge handles all phases of civil and criminal litigation, drafts orders, opinions, memoranda and other legal documents, and fulfills all other duties required of the Chief Judge to assure an effective and fair Tribal Court. In addition, the Chief Judge supervises Associate Judges, and the Court Administrator/Chief Clerk. Requires three (3) yearsí experience as a judge, tribal court judicial experience preferred. More than five (5) years of tribal court Chief Judge experience and evidence of success in court administration, court staff supervision and court budget development is preferred. Applicants must demonstrate that they have a thorough knowledge of Indian law, the Nez Perce Tribal Code, and applicable federal law, including but not limited to the Tribal Law and Order Act and Violence Against Women Act. Must have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and must be a member in good standing of a state bar. Executive Director of the Nimiipuu Community Development Fund, CDFI. Duties include addressing initial technical development and services of the non-profit Nimiipuu Community Development Fund that are; grant writing, a viable business plan, board development, staff, day to day operations, and is responsible to process loans from ďconcept to repayment.Ē The Executive Director and Board of Directors will be responsible for fund raising to meet annual goals to maintain the appropriate lending capacity of the institution to be self-sustaining. To provide professional-level accounting and technical support for the overall operations, activities, internal controls and reporting required by the tribal government Finance Department. Will develop specific work methods and sequences. Under the direct supervision of the Director of General Accounting. Requires a Bachelorís degree in Accounting or Finance (with a minor in Accounting) from a four (4) college or university. To prepare and present legal documents in a court setting relating to civil child support enforcement action in both tribal and state courts on behalf of the Nez Perce Tribe. Responsible to supervise drafting and proper implementation of court related matters relating to orders and finding for tribal court proceedings, relating to child support. Work coop-eratively with CSEP and tribal court staff in a highly confidential setting. Requires a Juris Doctorate or Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from an accredited law school (please submit copy). Requires active membership in a state bar association in good standing. Requires one (1) year experience in prosecu-tion or criminal defense. Experience with child support enforcement preferred. The Prosecutorís Dept. is recruiting for: PROBATION OFFICER II HR-15-157 regular full-time position. To supervise and monitor offender compliance with the conditions of probation set by court orders. Develop and maintain probation programs and oversee community service work. Responsible for monitoring adult and/or juvenile offenders under court orders and probation programs. Works within broad policy and organizational guidelines. Is supervised by the Prosecutor. Requires AA Degree or formal training, special courses, or self-education equivalent to satisfactory completion of two (2) years of college education or specialized training in behavioral or social sciences or closely related field. Requires two (2) years experience writing detailed report with supporting rational for recommendations made. Must have experience working with youth and adults. Knowledge of adolescent development behavior, family dynamics and functioning, juvenile justice systems, criminal justice systems, and com-munity resources. Some knowledge of interview methods, case management, and counseling. Must submit to criminal background check. Pre-employment drug testing required. SOUS CHEF - [CRC-15-028] [Gaming] (Full-time) RE-ADVERTISEMENT - Will oversee kitchen staff and the daily operations of all food venues at the Clearwater River Casino. The Sous Chef will be responsible for ordering, inventory control and quality control of all menu items. The Sous Chef will monitor and follow food cost procedures. HEAD CHEF - [CRC-15-035] [Gaming] (Full-time) - Provides the overall leadership, guidance, and direction to the food & beverage back of house team members. The Head Chef will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and banquet team members and will coordinate the orderly operation of the front of the house working in conjunction with the Food Service Outlet Manager. The Head Chef will be responsible for all Food & Beverage Food service purchasing and inventory control. The chef will monitor and enforce food cost, portioning, preparation, and presentation procedures. The General Manager (GM) directs, administers and coordinates the activities of the Nez Perce Tribe gaming properties including all revenue centers to maximize revenues, operational efficiencies and profitability. Requires a Bachelorís degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Casino Management, Business or related field. Requires eight (8) years of work experience in gaming operations.
