The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Law & Justice is recruiting for: IN-HOUSE PUBLIC DEFENDER HR-14-136 full-time regular. The position will provide legal defense services for Nez Perce Tribal mem-bers in criminal and certain civil matters. The position will be housed in the Nez Perce Tribal Court. Applicants must provide evidence of their Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited college of law, and of their active, good-standing membership in a State Bar Association and be licensed to practice in the Tribal Court. Must have at least one (1) year documented successful litigation experience, preferably in a Tribal Court. Requires verification of successful litigation experience, preferably in Tribal Court. Re-quires verification of successful litigation experience by a letter of recommendation from the immediate supervisor, or by providing contact information from the immediate supervisor for a follow-up reference check. Must demonstrate an understanding of Tribal, federal, and state law and the multijurisdictional issues which often arise in litigation in a Tribal Court. Excellent legal research and writing skills are re-quired. Please provide a legal writing sample with application, and resume. The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Fisheries Resource Management Ė Watershed Division: WATER-SHED RESTORATION SPECIALIST 1 HR-14-193 full-time regular based in Joseph, OR. The incum-bent will join a highly professional and experienced team working on restoring and protecting aquatic ecosystems and watersheds critically important to fisheries restoration, Nez Perce Tribal resources, and all people. This position will participate in all aspects of watershed/aquatic ecosystem, protection and restoration projects that include data collection/analysis, landowner relations, GIS analysis, environmen-tal assessments, project, design/cost-estimates, permitting, contracting, project implementation, moni-toring and evaluation, and report/grant writing. Typical projects include restoring fish passage, stream/riparian/floodplain restoration, reducing road related sedimentation, agricultural/grazing best management practices, instream flow restoration, and invasive weed control. Field duties include land-owner contact/coordination and leading field work logistics/planning/crews. Position requires coordina-tion with private, local, state, federal, and tribal entities. Applicant must be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Requires a Bachelorís degree in the field of wa-tershed sciences, fisheries biology/resources, hydrology, natural resources, or other closely related field. The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Law & Justice is recruiting for: TOSHA (TRIBAL OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH ADMINISTRATION) SAFETY OFFICER HR-14-194 full-time regular. To perform site and operational specific safety loss control functions including but not limited to: risk management evaluations, coordination of safety activities, coordination and implementation of safety training activities, assuring that working conditions are not detrimental to employee health, operational environmental risk management, providing safety education and regulatory compliance enforcement for the Nez Perce Tribal operations and facilities. The position reports to the TERO Director, who reviews the Safety Officerís work for adequacy of professional judgment, compliance with applicable Policy & Procedures and completion of job assignments in a timely manner. The Nez Perce Tribe of Department of Administration is recruiting for: COMMUNITY CENTER AIDE (PI-NEE-WAUS) HR-14-195 full-time position. To assist and provide support in operation of the community center and activities; may require evening, weekend and/or holiday work hours as applicable. Responsible for general administrative task support and maintenance. Must have excellent communication both orally and written. Computer literate in Micro Soft Word and Micro Soft Excel. The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Social Services is recruiting for: USDA FOOD & NUTRITION DIRECTOR HR-14-196 full-time regular. To promote, receive and distribute commodity foods to low income households on or near the reservation. The incumbent is the primary contact towards addressing hunger on the Nez Perce Reservation through federal, state, nonprofit, local and other resources. Responsible for staff supervision, training, ordering, receipt and distribution of commodities, community education, budget, and reporting. Works within broad policy and organizational guidelines, independently plans and implements projects, maintains and analyzes data to identify trends and need, presents the progress of major activities through periodic conferences and meetings and pursues funding and resources to address and serve those in nutritional and nutrition education need on the Nez Perce Reservation. Experience or knowledge of State and Federal billing regulations, ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM and CPT coding procedures, abbreviations and terms used in the coding volumes also preferred. Incumbent must obtain Idaho license within one year of appointment. Must have BLS and obtain ACLS within six months of appointment, which must be kept current at all times. (Salary/DOE/Full-Time/Lapwai) Clinical Nurse II (RN) [HR-14-20] D.O. or M.D. license in good standing from any state and obtain Idaho license within one year of hire date. Prefer Family Practice or Internal Medicine board certified, or board eligible. Must have DEA license. Requires current CPR/BLS; ACLS and/or PALS encouraged. (Salary/DOE/Full-Time/Lapwai) Executive Director [HR-14-10] Requires Masterís Degree in Health or Business related field, five (5) years of experience at an Executive Director level, and two (2) years supervisory experience OR Bachelor degree in Health or Business related field with ten (10) years of related experience in a health care facility at Executive Director level with two (2) years supervisory experience in a health care facility. Must have experience leading the development, promotion, and implementation of learning and development of programs and policies for a large complex organization. Demonstrated ability to establish, influence and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Must have knowledge/experience in fiscal management principles and evaluating organizational operations as they relate to policies, goals, objectives and mission. Working knowledge of the federal-tribal relationship is highly desirable. Must be adaptable. Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written, ability to handle conflict and problem resolution in a professional manner, be computer literate and have a valid driverís license with insurable record. Responsibilities will include: inventory, ordering, and quality of control of all food items. The Kitchen Supervisor will ensure that correct food handling procedures are being followed. Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Must be able to obtain a valid health card and Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS for serving alcohol). COMPUTER SPECIALIST II (NETWORKING) - [CRC-14-052] (Gaming) (Full-time) - To provide technical support for personal computer, networking and telecommunication hardware. The class is responsible for assisting with the assembly, protection, and operation of computer/telecommunication networks in a gaming environment. Requires a Bachelors degree, vocational technical degree, or specialized training equivalent to satisfactory completion of four (4) years of college education with emphasis in Computers or closely related field. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Requires a valid driverís license with the ability to be insured under the Tribeís policy (must provide a copy of driverís license and motor vehicle report of ENTIRE driving record (MVR)). HOUSEKEEPER(S) - [HTL-14-053] (Part-time & On-call) - To clean hotel guest rooms, and all office and inside public areas of hotel and RV Park, according to set standards, providing the highest quality service to guests and staff at all times. The incumbent of the position maintains knowledge of all in house services to answer guest inquiries. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. The class is responsible for monitoring compliance with National Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, the National and Nez Perce Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards, and other established laws, regulations, rules and procedures. Requires high school diploma, GED, or specialized vocational training, including knowledge of the Nez Perce Tribe Gaming Commission Audit Manual and Internal Control Operating Procedures, and basic knowledge of criminal law. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). One year of experience in security or law enforcement preferred with superior work ethics and report writing skills. Closes: 10-31-14.

DROP CREW WORKER - [CRC-14-057] (Gaming) (Part-time) - Extracts money from gaming machines and audit revenues. The class is responsible for equipment, revenues, and shift assignments. The class works according to some procedures, but decides how and when to do things under general supervision. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, or specialized vocational training. be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). SOUS CHEF - [CRC-14-058] (Gaming) (Full-time) - Will oversee kitchen staff and the daily operations of all food venues at the Clearwater River Casino. The Sous Chef will be responsible for ordering, inventory control and quality control of all menu items. The Sous Chef will monitor and follow food cost procedures. The Sous Chef will practice correct food handling procedures and general sanitation of the kitchen and all the areaís included. Requires a Culinary Arts/Associateís degree (A.A.) or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
