The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Law & Justice is recruiting for: IN-HOUSE PUBLIC DEFENDER HR-14-136 full-time regular. The position will provide legal defense services for Nez Perce Tribal mem-bers in criminal and certain civil matters. The position will be housed in the Nez Perce Tribal Court. Applicants must provide evidence of their Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited college of law, and of their active, good-standing membership in a State Bar Association and be licensed to practice in the Tribal Court. Must have at least one (1) year documented successful litigation experience, preferably in a Tribal Court. Requires verification of successful litigation experience, preferably in Tribal Court. Re-quires verification of successful litigation experience by a letter of recommendation from the immediate supervisor, or by providing contact information from the immediate supervisor for a follow-up reference check. Must demonstrate an understanding of Tribal, federal, and state law and the multijurisdictional issues which often arise in litigation in a Tribal Court. Excellent legal research and writing skills are re-quired. Please provide a legal writing sample with application, and resume. This is an exempt position which includes generous health insurance and other benefits. Salary based on record of successful litigation experience and demonstrated legal expertise. To assist with the implementation of Imnaha River juvenile emigrant monitoring & evaluation. Position will be stationed in Joseph, Oregon. Knowledge and experience with juvenile screw trapping, hatchery operations, PIT tagging, statistics, experimental design, juvenile survival and abundance modeling, spawning ground surveys, and fish sampling techniques are helpful. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, report writing, data analysis and interpretation required. Requires a B.S. degree in fisheries or closely related field, and three (3) years of related experience with one (1) year of supervision, or an MS in Fisheries research with one (1) experience and one (1) year of supervisory experience. The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Fisheries Resource Management is recruiting for: FISHERIES TECHNICIAN II HR-14-199 full-time seasonal (Jan. 15 to June 10) in the Sweetwater Fisheries Research office. Will assist with adult steelhead escapement status monitoring in Joseph Creek. Responsibilities include: installation, operation, and maintenance of the resistance board weir, trapping of adult steelhead, collection of biological information, PIT tagging, marking collecting scale and DNA samples, electronic data recording, redd counting, and computer data entry and quality control checking. Requires two (2) years of college education (48 credits). Three (3) years of relevant experience is equivalent to one (1) year of college. ďPlease provide college transcriptsĒ. Requires one (1) year of related experience to project needs and six (6) months leadership experience. Must possess the ability to work shift work by staying out in the field, have mechanical, construction and maintenance skills, have demonstrated computer skills, and an ability to cooperate and work with others. (Salary/DOE/Full-Time/Lapwai) Treatment Social Worker [HR-14-36] Requires a Masterís degree in Social Work with a license to perform social work activities at the LMSW level. Requires the ability to work with approved supervisor to accrue hours towards Clinical Social Work degree (LCSW). Requires a minimum of two (2) years successful experience within an agency utilizing social work skills. Incumbent must obtain Idaho license within one year of appointment. Must have BLS and obtain ACLS within six months of appointment, which must be kept current at all times. Must have experience leading the development, promotion, and implementation of learning and development of programs and policies for a large complex organization. Demonstrated ability to establish, influence and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. NEZ PERCE EXPRESS (LEWISTON, ID):

DELI CLERK - [NPX-14-059] (Part-time) - To prepare and serve food and provide customer service. The class is responsible for the maintenance of food preparation. Requires high school diploma or GED. Must be able to obtain a valid health card. Requires a short demonstration of customer service oriented work experience up to and including one month; deli experience preferred. Closes: 12-05-14.

MAINTENANCE - [NPX-14-060] (Part-time) - To be responsible for general cleaning and repairing equipment. The class works according to some procedures but decides how and when to do things under general supervision. Requires high school diploma or GED. Requires a valid driverís license with the ability to be insured under the Tribeís policy (must provide a copy of driverís license and motor vehicle report of ENTIRE driving record (MVR)). Requires three months experience in the custodial or general maintenance field. Closes: 12-05-14.

CLEARWATER RIVER CASINO & LODGE (LEWISTON, ID)

BARTENDER - [CRC-13-069] (Gaming) (Part-Time) RE-ADVERTISEMENT - To provide friendly, excellent service to every customer and preparing and pouring drinks for customers and beverage servers. Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a valid health card and Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS for serving alcohol). Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Requires three months full service bar tender experience and restaurant experience preferred. Closes: Open Until Filled.

F&B CASH HANDLER - [CRC-14-031] (Gaming) (Part-time) RE-ADVERTISEMENT - To greet and facilitate the guest experience by operating a point of sales system. Requires high school diploma or GED. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Training and/or six (6) month work experience required. Cash handling experience preferred. Bartending or restaurant experience preferred. Prior snack bar experience preferred. Must possess excellent guest relations and customer service skills. Closes: Open Until Filled.

BANQUET SERVER(S) - [CRC-14-041] (On-call) RE-ADVERTISEMENT - To provide efficient, personal service of catered events at the Event/Conference Center and Clearwater River Casino & Resort sponsored events. This includes set-up, serving and tearing down of all events. Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a valid health card and complete TIPS Certification. Six (6) months of serving experience in restaurant facility preferred. Six (6) months of customer service experience in hospitality environment preferred. Closes: Open Until Filled.

COMPUTER SPECIALIST II (NETWORKING) - [CRC-14-052] (Gaming) (Full-time) - To provide technical support for personal computer, networking and telecommunication hardware. The class is responsible for assisting with the assembly, protection, and operation of computer/telecommunication networks in a gaming environment. Requires a Bachelors degree, vocational technical degree, or specialized training equivalent to satisfactory completion of four (4) years of college education with emphasis in Computers or closely related field. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Requires a valid driverís license with the ability to be insured under the Tribeís policy (must provide a copy of driverís license and motor vehicle report of ENTIRE driving record (MVR)). Preferred but not required are specials certifications directly relating to field such as cable termination, fiber termination, splicing, and/or software certifications. (MCSE, CCNA, A++, Network + Certification). Requires over three years experience and up to and including four years. Closes: Open Until Filled.

HOUSEKEEPER(S) - [HTL-14-053] (Part-time & On-call) - To clean hotel guest rooms, and all office and inside public areas of hotel and RV Park, according to set standards, providing the highest quality service to guests and staff at all times. Formal or informal education which ensures the ability to read, write, and understand oral/written instruction. Housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred. Closes: 12-05-14.

GUEST SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - [HTL-14-054] (Gaming) (Part-time) - Provide prompt, courteous, efficient service to hotel guests. The incumbent of the position maintains knowledge of all in house services to answer guest inquiries. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Requires a valid driverís license with the ability to be insured under the Tribeís policy (must provide a copy of driverís license and motor vehicle report of ENTIRE driving record (MVR)). Requires a minimum of one month experience in a customer focused environment. Closes: 10-31-14.

PLAYERS CLUB REPRESENTATIVE - [CRC-14-060] (Gaming) (Part-time & On-call) - Provides exceptional customer service to Players Club members while staffing the Players Club station, including communicating program features, assisting with membership registration and databases. Requires high school diploma or GED. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Requires a valid driverís license with the ability to be insured under the Tribes policy (must provide a copy of driverís license and motor vehicle report of ENTIRE driving record (MVR)). Requires one (1) year of front line guest service skills. Requires two (2) years of cash handling experience. Accurately and efficiently handle cash and/or prizes for promotions. Must pass a math test before hire. Must type 25 WPM (40 WPM preferred), as demonstrated by testing prior to being hired. Proficient with Microsoft Word and data entry required. Must work well in a team environment. Strong multi-tasking skills required. Excellent verbal communication skills required. Must be able to follow detailed instructions precisely. Closes: 12-12-14.

  • All Gaming positions require aa Nez Perce Tribal Gaming license which involves a complete background investigation
  • The Enterprise is a drug free work environment - Pre-employment drug testing is required
