The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Law & Justice is recruiting for: IN-HOUSE PUBLIC DEFENDER HR-14-136 full-time regular. The position will provide legal defense services for Nez Perce Tribal mem-bers in criminal and certain civil matters. The position will be housed in the Nez Perce Tribal Court. Applicants must provide evidence of their Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited college of law, and of their active, good-standing membership in a State Bar Association and be licensed to practice in the Tribal Court. Must have at least one (1) year documented successful litigation experience, preferably in a Tribal Court. Requires verification of successful litigation experience, preferably in Tribal Court. Re-quires verification of successful litigation experience by a letter of recommendation from the immediate supervisor, or by providing contact information from the immediate supervisor for a follow-up reference check. Must demonstrate an understanding of Tribal, federal, and state law and the multijurisdictional issues which often arise in litigation in a Tribal Court. Excellent legal research and writing skills are re-quired. Please provide a legal writing sample with application, and resume. The Nez Perce Tribe Department Natural Resources/Cultural Resource Program is recruiting for: CULTURAL RESOURCES DIRECTOR HR-14-169 full-time regular stationed at Lapwai, Idaho. To lead the Nez Perce Tribeís Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Cultural Resources and its four (4) main programs. This position oversees all facets of management and supervision of the Tribeís Cultural Resource programs. The successful applicant will be responsible for program development, staff supervision, interagency coordination, budget and personnel management, and policy implementation. The Cultural Resources Division consists of four (4) main programs: the Nez Perce Language Program, the Archaeology Program/Tribal Historic Preservation Office, the Hanford Cultural Resource Program, and Tribal Ethnographic History Program. The Cultural Resources Director is responsible for providing technical direction to staff, and supervision as well as personnel and fiscal management. The position reports to the Natural Resource Manager. The position also reports to the Natural Resource Subcommittee (a subcommittee of the full Nez Perce Tribal Executive Committee) in order to implement initiatives and carry out policy when necessary. The position plays a key role in making management recommendations in support and protection of the Tribeís culture. Ensures that staff carry out the day-to-day contract deliverables, and serves as a technical representative for the Tribe through multi-agency committees affecting Nez Perce cultural resources and the Tribeís treaty rights and resources. Requires ten (10) years professional level experience (seven (7) years experience with Masterís or four (4) years with a Doctorate Degree), three (3) years of supervisory experience, knowledge and experience with aquatic or natural resource research, management, or policy is required. (Salary/DOE/Full-Time/Lapwai) Executive Director [HR-14-10] Requires Masterís Degree in Health or Business related field, five (5) years of experience at an Executive Director level, and two (2) years supervisory experience OR Bachelor degree in Health or Business related field with ten (10) years of related experience in a health care facility at Executive Director level with two (2) years supervisory experience in a health care facility. Must have experience leading the development, promotion, and implementation of learning and development of programs and policies for a large complex organization. Demonstrated ability to establish, influence and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Must have knowledge/experience in fiscal management principles and evaluating organizational operations as they relate to policies, goals, objectives and mission. Working knowledge of the federal-tribal relationship is highly desirable. Must be adaptable. FINANCE MANAGER

(Salary/DOE/Full-Time/Lapwai) Finance Manager [HR-14-02] Requires a Bachelorís Degree in Accounting with three (3) to five (5) years of related supervisory accounting experience. Experience in coordinating all fiscal responsibilities of an organization, preferably a clinic or healthcare center. Current use, knowledge and experience in use of MAS 90 software. Must have knowledge/experience in evaluating organizational operations as they relate to policies, goals and objectives, costs and rate levels. Requires a high degree of skill in operations of computerized accounting and database systems, acquisition process, including writing Request for Proposals (RFPís) advertising and bidding. Working knowledge of the federal-tribal relationship including government trust responsibilities is highly desirable. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, ability to handle conflict and problem resolution in a professional manner. CAMAS EXPRESS (WINCHESTER, ID)

CUSTODIAN - [CAM-14-040] (Part-time) - To be responsible for general cleaning and repairing equipment. The class works according to some procedures but decides how and when to do things under general supervision. Requires high school diploma or GED. CLEARWATER RIVER CASINO & LODGE (LEWISTON, ID)

BARTENDER - [CRC-13-069] (Gaming) (Part-Time) RE-ADVERTISEMENT - To provide friendly, excellent service to every customer and preparing and pouring drinks for customers and beverage servers. Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a valid health card and Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS for serving alcohol). Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Requires three months full service bar tender experience and restaurant experience preferred. Closes: Open Until Filled.

WAITSTAFF - [CRC-14-030] (Part-time) - To provide efficient dinging area service to meet the needs of guests. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a valid health card. Training and/or three month work experience preferred. Prior waiter/waitress experience preferred.Closes: Open Until Filled

F&B CASH HANDLER - [CRC-14-031] (Gaming) (Part-time) - To greet and facilitate the guest experience by operating a point of sales system. Requires high school diploma or GED. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Training and/or six (6) month work experience required. Cash handling experience preferred. Bartending or restaurant experience preferred. Prior snack bar experience preferred. Must possess excellent guest relations and customer service skills. Closes: Open Until Filled.

DISHWASHER ~ [CRC-14-034] (Part-time) RE-ADVERTISEMENT - To provide a clean kitchen equipment and tableware and maintain kitchen work area in clean and orderly condition. Must be able to obtain a valid health card. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Training and/or three month work experience preferred. Closes: 08-01-14.

CASHIER II - [CRC-14-036] (Gaming) (On-call) - To conduct cash transactions for the gaming enterprise. Class is responsible and accountable for the accurate control of all currency transactions between the gaming enterprise and general patrons, as well as in association with Cashier III & IV. Requires high school diploma or GED. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Minimum of six (6) months cash handling experience preferred. Requires three (3) months customer service experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, 10-key adding machine experience preferred, must be able to handle fast paced environment. Closes: 07-18-14.

CASHIER IV - [CRC-14-037] (Gaming) (Part-time & On-call) - To conduct cash transactions with cash handlers for the gaming enterprise. The class is responsible and accountable for vault operations, bank deposits, and accurate control of all currency transactions with the gaming enterprise. Requires high school diploma or GED. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Requires two (2) years of high volume cash handling experience. Three (3) months customer service experience required; excellent oral and written communication skills, 10-key adding machine preferred, must be able to handle fast paced environment. Gaming experience and six (6) months supervisory experience preferred. Closes: 07-18-14.

IITSE YE YE CASINO (KAMIAH, ID)

F&B CASH HANDLER - [IYY-14-039] (Gaming) (Part-time & On-call) - To greet and facilitate the guest experience by operating a point of sales system. Requires high school diploma or GED. REQUIREMENTS: 

  • If a positions require a high school diploma or equivalent, or college education/degree (a copy of diploma or transcripts must be submitted with application).
  • If a position requires a valid driverís license with the ability to be insured under the Tribeís policy (must provide a current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • All Gaming positions require aa Nez Perce Tribal Gaming license which involves a complete background investigation
  • The Enterprise is a drug free work environment - Pre-employment drug testing is required
  • An Enterprise application and three (3) letters of reference are required.  Resume is highly suggested.
