The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Law & Justice is recruiting for: IN-HOUSE PUBLIC DEFENDER HR-14-136 full-time regular. The position will provide legal defense services for Nez Perce Tribal mem-bers in criminal and certain civil matters. The position will be housed in the Nez Perce Tribal Court. Applicants must provide evidence of their Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited college of law, and of their active, good-standing membership in a State Bar Association and be licensed to practice in the Tribal Court. Must have at least one (1) year documented successful litigation experience, preferably in a Tribal Court. Requires verification of successful litigation experience, preferably in Tribal Court. Re-quires verification of successful litigation experience by a letter of recommendation from the immediate supervisor, or by providing contact information from the immediate supervisor for a follow-up reference check. Must demonstrate an understanding of Tribal, federal, and state law and the multijurisdictional issues which often arise in litigation in a Tribal Court. Excellent legal research and writing skills are re-quired. Please provide a legal writing sample with application, and resume. This is an exempt position which includes generous health insurance and other benefits. Salary based on record of successful litigation experience and demonstrated legal expertise. Outreach Notice: North Fork Ranger District is recruiting for a Forester (Timber Sale Prepara-tion/Sale Administration). Assembles and reviews the timber sales contract package. Scholarship Available for Manufacturing Boot Camp The Adult Education program is sponsor-ing scholarships for Indian individuals to enroll in a two week INDUSTRIAL PRE-EMPLOYMENT BOOT CAMP. The boot camp will be held at Lewis-Clark State College's Workforce Training Center in North Lewiston five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The boot camp will teach: what local manufacturers are looking for in an employee, important industrial safe-ty issues and how to manage them, industrial math skills and how to apply them on the job, and how to operate and understand computers. The boot camp was designed in partnership with the regional manufacturing industry; an industry with a demand for a qualified entry level workforce. An eligible applicant for the program scholarship will be:

1. An enrolled Indian of a U.S. Federally Recognized Tribe or Alaskan Native.
2. Residence established on or near the Nez Perce Reservation or north central Idaho.
3. Attend an orientation session in Lapwai or September 9 or in Kamiah on September 10.

One (1) year chair side assisting or successful completion of an approved course in the fundamentals of Dental Assisting preferred. Certification in Expanded Functions preferred. CLINICAL NURSE II (RN)

(Salary/DOE/Full-Time/Lapwai) Clinical Nurse II (RN) [HR-14-20] Must be an R.N. with current Idaho license. Prefer experience in acute care or ambulatory care setting. Prefer ACLS certification. Must have professional knowledge of and ability to apply nursing care principles, practices and procedures. Required to assess needs of wide variety medical surgical, geriatric, obstetrics, gynecology and pediatric patients as well as knowledge of the normal course of diseases, anticipated complications and indicated therapeutic intervention. Incumbent must obtain Idaho license within one year of appointment. Must have BLS and obtain ACLS within six months of appointment, which must be kept current at all times. Participate in orientation to receive knowledge of history, culture, and health needs or Native Americans, specifically the Nez Perce Tribe. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

(Salary/DOE/Full-Time/Lapwai) Executive Director [HR-14-10] Requires Masterís Degree in Health or Business related field, five (5) years of experience at an Executive Director level, and two (2) years supervisory experience OR Bachelor degree in Health or Business related field with ten (10) years of related experience in a health care facility at Executive Director level with two (2) years supervisory experience in a health care facility. Must have experience leading the development, promotion, and implementation of learning and development of programs and policies for a large complex organization. Demonstrated ability to establish, influence and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Must have knowledge/experience in fiscal management principles and evaluating organizational operations as they relate to policies, goals, objectives and mission. Working knowledge of the federal-tribal relationship is highly desirable. Must be adaptable. Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written, ability to handle conflict and problem resolution in a professional manner, be computer literate and have a valid driverís license with insurable record. CLEARWATER RIVER CASINO & LODGE (LEWISTON, ID)

BARTENDER - [CRC-13-069] (Gaming) (Part-Time) RE-ADVERTISEMENT - To provide friendly, excellent service to every customer and preparing and pouring drinks for customers and beverage servers. Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a valid health card and Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS for serving alcohol). Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Requires three months full service bar tender experience and restaurant experience preferred. Closes: Open Until Filled.

WAITSTAFF - [CRC-14-030] (Part-time) - To provide efficient dinging area service to meet the needs of guests. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a valid health card. Training and/or three month work experience preferred. Prior waiter/waitress experience preferred.Closes: Open Until Filled

F&B CASH HANDLER - [CRC-14-031] (Gaming) (Part-time) - To greet and facilitate the guest experience by operating a point of sales system. Requires high school diploma or GED. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Training and/or six (6) month work experience required. Cash handling experience preferred. Bartending or restaurant experience preferred. Prior snack bar experience preferred. Must possess excellent guest relations and customer service skills. Closes: Open Until Filled.

PLAYERS CLUB REPRESENTATIVE - [CRC-14-033] (Gaming) (Full-time) RE-ADVERTISEMENT - Provides excellent customer service to Players Club members while staffing the Players Club station, including communicating program features, assisting with membership registration and databases. Requires high school diploma or GED. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Requires a valid driverís license with the ability to be insured under the Tribeís policy (must provide a copy of driverís license and motor vehicle report of ENTIRE driving record (MVR)). Requires one (1) year of front line guest service skills. Requires two (2) years of cash handling experience. Accurately and efficiently handle cash and/or prize for promotions. Must pass a math test before hire. Must type 25 WPM (40 WPM preferred), as demonstrated by testing prior to being hired. Proficient with Microsoft Word and data entry required. Must work well in a team environment. Strong multi-tasking skills required. Excellent verbal communication skills required. Must be able to follow detail instructions precisely. Closes: 09-26-14.

DISHWASHER - [CRC-14-034] (Part-time) RE-ADVERTISEMENT - To provide a clean kitchen equipment and tableware and maintain kitchen work area in clean and orderly condition. Must be able to obtain a valid health card. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Training and/or three month work experience preferred. Closes: Open Until Filled.

BANQUET SERVER(S) - [CRC-14-041] (On-call) - To provide efficient, personal service of catered events at the Event/Conference Center and Clearwater River Casino & Resort sponsored events. This includes set-up, serving and tearing down of all events. Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a valid health card and complete TIPS Certification. Six (6) months of serving experience in restaurant facility preferred. Six (6) months of customer service experience in hospitality environment preferred. Closes: 08-15-14.

FRONT OF THE HOUSE SUPERVISOR(S) - [CRC-14-042] (Gaming) (Full-time) - Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to the front of the house team members in the food & beverage department. The purpose of this class is to provide efficient Restaurant, Snack Bar, Espresso and Lounge service to meet the needs of the guests. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a valid health card and complete Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification. Must be able to obtain a Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Requires a valid driverís license with the ability to be insured under the Tribeís policy (must provide a copy of driverís license and motor vehicle report of ENTIRE driving record (MVR)).Training and/or one year work experience in the Food & Beverage industry required. Prior cash handling & POS experience preferred. Experience in a service related business preferred. Requires six (6) months of supervisory experience or completion of Supervisor Training Program provided by Enterprise Training Department for current Enterprise employees. Closes: Open Until Filled.

KITCHEN SUPERVISOR - [CRC-14-046] (Gaming) (Full-time) - Oversee the kitchen staff and daily operations of all food venues at the Clearwater River Casino. Responsibilities will include: inventory, ordering, and quality of control of all food items. The Kitchen Supervisor will ensure that correct food handling procedures are being followed. Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Must be able to obtain a valid health card and Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS for serving alcohol). Requires a valid driverís license with the ability to be insured under the Tribeís policy (must provide a copy of driverís license and motor vehicle report of ENTIRE driving record (MVR)). Requires one (1) year experience as a Line Cook III or equivalent and three (3) years cooking experience in full service high volume restaurant with banquet experience. Requires one (1) year supervisory experience. Closes: Open Until Filled.

SOFT COUNT CREW WORKER - [CRC-14-050] (Gaming) (Part-time & On-call) - To count revenues and verify accuracy of reports. Responsible for compliance with established cash handling/counting/recording procedures. The class works according to some procedures and decides how and when to do things under supervision. Requires high school diploma or GED. Must be able to obtain a Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License (Subject to a full back ground check). Ten-key efficiency and ability to count currency quickly and accurately; six (6) months related (cash handling) work experience preferred. Closes: 09-19-14.

  • All Gaming positions require aa Nez Perce Tribal Gaming license which involves a complete background investigation
  • The Enterprise is a drug free work environment - Pre-employment drug testing is required
