VISION
The Wa-a=yas
Community Center
is a component of the Administration Department that
provides a place for recreational, sports, educational & cultural activities to
be held.
GOALS

Promote a
positive service attitude

Solicit
funding & volunteers.

Focus on team
building for programs, schools, agencies, and municipal offices.

Emphasize
traditional Nez Perce customs to youth and community.

Encourage use
of available tribal programs for better health needs.

Promote family
oriented activities

Encourage
patron involvement in a physical fitness program.

Provide a safe
& healthy community center
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
-
Enforce the
Community Center Management Plan.
-
Manage/oversee
operations of the community center.
-
Plan,
organize, and coordinate activities for youth, adult and Sr citizens.
Coordinate with agencies such as schools, organizations and municipal offices.
-
Promote
activities and resources to the community at-large such as posting
announcements and activity calendars (monthly/weekly).
-
Assist in
emergency situations.
-
Provide
facility for meetings, pow wows, and/or other annual events
