VISION
To provide exemplary legal services to preserve and advance
Nez Perce sovereignty.
GOALS
Together we seek to: protect treaty rights now and
forever; advance the Nez Perce Tribe's mission; proactively assess issues
affecting tribal sovereignty; promote the Nez Perce Tribe's image; and maintain
and improve the quality of the office.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
The Office of Legal Counsel is responsible for
representing the Nez Perce Tribe in all legal matters.
The office provides representation in all lawsuits and administrative
proceedings, provides advice and input on daily issues, reviews and drafts
contracts, coordinates and monitors legislative matters, reviews and advises on
revisions to the Code, handles media relations, and reviews key documents..
