VISION
Providing the best police services by having the best trained, best equipped,
certified, accredited, and fully manned Police Department in the State of Idaho.
GOALS
The members of the Nez Perce Tribal Police Department are
dedicated to the advancement of community policing and to the development of a
comprehensive strategy to resolve public safety issues and enhanced the quality
of life within our Reservation.
Our success will be measured by the improved working
relationships between police, tribal members, and citizens and the realization
that our community is safe, viable and attractive for commerce and community
life.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
The Nez Perce Tribal Police Department, in serving the
Nimiipuu and citizens of the reservation, strives to reduce crime and provide a
safe community by providing numerous functional preventive, investigative, and
enforcement services to the community. These include preventive and
traffic patrol, criminal investigations, finger printing, court bailiff and
adult probation control, school support and protection, and crime prevention
services. These services are provided through two divisions: the Law
Enforcement (LE) Division, and the Administrative Support (AS) Division.
