VISION
To promote the safety and well being of all Nez
Perce children
GOALS
To support and protect them from child abuse and
neglect and to provide services to families to maintain family unity
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
To provide intervention, prevention, case
management, referral, collateral, and collaborative services to children who are
victims of or at risk of child abuse and neglect.
The caseworker will facilitate the established Child Protection Team as
designated by the Tribal law and Order Code.
The caseworker is responsible for emergency foster care placement
services. The caseworker will assist in
foster parent recruitment efforts, creating a positive working relationship with
all pertinent resources, and community education on child abuse/neglect, and
other activities to strengthen both families and the overall child protection
program. The caseworker is responsible
for intake investigations and appropriate follow-up services for reports of
alleged child abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment of Nez Perce children residing
on the reservation.
