To maintain an educated, technological tribal society that
allows our tribal members the opportunities to succeed and thrive in any
opportunities they choose. To defend and maintain the sovereignty of the
Nez Perce Tribe. "I wish all my children would learn more and more everyday, so
they can mingle with the white people and do business with them as well as
anybody else." Chief Joseph, 1904.
Ensure adequate funding levels for students to meet rising
costs of attending college; refer information to students for support to meet
unmet financial needs; advocate to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for an increase
in overall funding to the Nez Perce Tribe.
Provide
support services to enrolled tribal members to obtain academic degrees.
Each student will be funded based upon their full time or part time status.
Part time funding will be determined by enrolled number of credits.
