Tribal Tourism/National Signature Event Planning
VISION
The establishment of a self-sustaining Nez Perce Department of Tribal Tourism to enhance economic development and to secure Tribal employment and outreach.
GOALS
To organize, host, and otherwise operate and facilitate the National Signature Event, The summer of Peace: Among the Nimiipuu; to provide a mentee program for Tribal members to receive training in tourism-related fields; to establish and secure a Tribal tourism department whereby facilitating the encouragement, marketing, and hosting of tour groups, individuals, and operators to Nez Perce country while holding true to our cultural and natural resources heritage.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
National Signature Event planning, tourism-related development training and marketing; serve as a regional liaison with state, local, and Tribal tourism groups; applicable media and print advertising; tour group hosting; clearing house for local and regional travel information and related Tribal services; certain local and national board membership and participation in tourism-related matters.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS
A myriad of responsibilities, including; all signature events related meetings and coordinating activities; the participation in state and regional tourism initiatives and coops; the grass roots structuring of Nez Perce Tribal tourism and the resultant training, operational, and marketing mix which comes of such; applicable grant research and application and follow-up administration.
