Economic Stimulus Distribution Information

On December 18, 2009, the Nez Perce Tribe will be distributing $1,000.00 Economic Stimulus payments to tribal members.  In order to receive the payment on December 18, a tribal member must complete and return the application form that has been mailed out to tribal members.  (In addition to the application forms sent via mail, tribal members can obtain an application form from either of the community centers in Kamiah or Orofino or from the main offices in Lapwai.  The application is also available to be printed off online at www.nezperce.org.) The form must be returned to the mailing address on the application by December 9, 2009.  Tribal members that live outside the local area can fax in their application as long as the original application is also mailed in as well.  The fax number is 208-843-7354 in attention to Rachel Edwards.  

 

If the application is not received by the Nez Perce Tribe by December 9, 2009, the tribal member will still receive a stimulus payment although not on December 18, 2009.  Applications received after December 9, will be processed and checks will be issued according to the normal check processing schedule of the Nez Perce Tribal Finance Department.   

 

Checks will be issued during the day of December 18, 2009 from 10am-3pm.  Checks not picked up during that time will be mailed out to the address that is on file with the Nez Perce Tribe from the submitted application.  If you are not able to pick up the check during the time frame of the distribution on December 18, 2009, but do not want the check mailed.  Please contact Rachel Edwards at 208-843-2253 or direct at 208-621-3685 to arrange to pick up the check at tribal headquarters on a later date.
