Biography for Randy King

Hello,

  My name is Randy King. I obtained my Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Systems Analysis and Repair in December of nineteen ninety-two. I have been employed in the Information Technology industry since that time. I have been with the Nez Perce Information Systems department since 1998. I have completed the coursework and have obtained my CompTIA A+ Service Professional Certification. My job title is Computer Technician III. Along with my associates, under the direction of our department director, I strive to assist the Tribe with any information technology issues that may arise. Although I do not always have all the answers, I am anxious and eager to do whatever research is necessary to resolve any technological challenges the Tribe, or Tribal programs may face in a timely manner. I perform many duties that include research and support on technology topics for purchasing, troubleshooting, maintaining and future growth technology advancement. As a service provider I consistently strive for preventative maintenance through training end users. I provide technical services on software and hardware for network and stand alone computers; as well as Networking, and Telephone equipment. I consider it a great honor and a privilege to extend my capabilities as a technician to the Tribe, and look forward to growing with the Tribe and nurturing a relationship where all can prosper through enhancing productivity.

It my personal belief and experience that technical services from an outside organization will not afford the same level of loyalties as are seen from a program or department that is part of the overall organization itself. Nez Perce Information Systems personnel are genuinely invested in the success of the Nez Perce Tribe as an organization both on a professional level, as well as a personal one. Nez Perce Information Systems does not take their position in the overall organization of the Nez Perce Tribe lightly.

 Information Systems also works very hard to ensure that the technology related items that are purchased for the Tribe are able to offer the best value of performance for the dollars spent. In an industry where advertising and hype often over inflate costs. Information Systems takes the time to learn the qualities, performance specifications and future support costs before making a recommendation to purchase a product. The purchasing practice’s of the Information Systems department has saved the Tribe tens of thousands of dollars over the years. This can be verified as written quotes are provided with all major technology related purchases.
