Safety Program

VISION

The Nez Perce Safety Program is a component of the Administration Department that provides safety and health education and training for tribal employees.  The Safety Program strives to provide services through prevention of injuries and health promotion that helps the employee=s professional and personal quality of life and the community at large.

GOALS

• Promote compliance with safe working guidelines and regulations.

• Promote and educate the significance of living a healthy lifestyle

SCRIPTION OF SERVICES

• Plan and coordinate safety training to promote compliance with on-the-job safety guidelines and regulations.

• Work with tribal and other agencies to coordinate training on such topics as First Aid/CPR, Defensive Driving, and Environmental issues.

• Investigate and provide remedial action on reports of unsafe working conditions or practices.

• Provide information and education awareness on safety issues.
